Easter Egg Giveaway Returns to Angel Town – 4 April 2026

Spring is on the way, and with it comes the return of a much-loved community moment in Angell Town — our Easter Egg Giveaway.

On Saturday 4th April 2026, families, neighbours and local partners will come together once again to celebrate Easter and bring smiles to the faces of children across the estate and surrounding areas. The event is being organised by Black Thrive Lambeth in partnership with Angell Town Community, with support from the fantastic team at the London Fire Brigade and a few others.

Over the years, events like this have become an important way for the community to come together. What might look like a simple Easter egg giveaway is actually about something much bigger — connection, participation and building stronger relationships between residents and local organisations.

We’ve done this before, and we know how much it means to the children and families who take part. This year, we’re hoping to make it even bigger by encouraging more parents and carers to get involved.

A Small Challenge for the Adults

This year we’re adding a little bit of fun for the adults.

Parents and carers who want to receive an Easter egg for their child will be asked to complete a short form before they complete a challenge, adults can take part in one of three simple challenges:

  • 7 consecutive football kick-ups
  • Hula hoop for 30 seconds
  • Read a short poem or passage from a book out loud

The activities are designed to be light-hearted and inclusive. Some people might show off their skills, others might just give it a go and have a laugh — either way, it helps create a lively and positive atmosphere on the estate.

Importantly, we are not asking people to work for an Easter egg. The eggs are for the children. The activities are simply a way to bring people together and encourage participation.

No child under 21 can complete the task

Why the Form Matters

At Black Thrive Lambeth, understanding the community is a key part of the work we do. That’s why we are asking parents and carers to complete a short form before attending the event.

Put simply, we are data hungry.

The information we gather helps us better understand the families living in and around Angell Town. This allows us to:

  • Plan better activities and programmes
  • Identify what support families might need
  • Strengthen the case for investment and resources in the community

When residents share their information, it helps ensure that organisations like Black Thrive Lambeth can design services that truly reflect the needs of local people.

So while the Easter egg is a treat for the children, completing the form helps build a stronger future for the community.

Everyone is Welcome

The Easter Egg Giveaway is open to families from Angell Town and neighbouring areas.

Whether you’ve attended one of these events before or this will be your first time, we’d love to see you there. Expect a welcoming environment where neighbours can connect, children can celebrate Easter and adults can join in the fun.

Help us Make It Happen Again

Events like this rely on participation from the community.

If you’d like your child to receive an Easter egg, the first step is simple: complete the form. The more parents and carers who take part, the stronger the case we can make for continuing events like this in the future.

So come along, take on one of the challenges, and be part of a community moment that brings people together.

On Saturday 4th Aprillet’s make this year’s Easter Egg Giveaway the biggest one yet.
